ADULT/YOUTH 2-HOUR LESSON INFORMATION

In addition to reading the information below, please visit the Lesson FAQ page on the Mt. Bachelor website prior to your lesson day to learn more about how to prepare, where to go, and when to be there.

WHAT TO BRING

For the best experience, come prepared for a fun time in our winter wonderland. Please visit our our Lesson FAQ webpage and read the What to Bring section for more details.

Lesson participants must have a valid lift ticket for their lesson day, or a season pass. Lessons are sold separately and the price does not include a lift ticket. Visit our Current Deals page to see if there are discounted ticket offers available.

For beginners, the reduced-price Learning Progression lift ticket allows for all-day access to the Chipmunk carpet & Little Pine lift at our West Village base area and the First Rays & Lava Tube carpets and the Early Riser & Alpenglow chairlfts at the Sunrise base area. Priced at $39 when purchased online in advance or $49 when purchased in-person at Mt. Bachelor, the Learning Progression lift ticket is ideal for those who are experiencing snow sports for their first or second time. Otherwise, lesson participants should purchase an all-mountain lift ticket.

We strongly recommend purchasing a lift ticket in advance, online. Lift tickets purchased in-person, on premises at Mt. Bachelor are $10 higher than the online price.

WHERE TO GO & WHEN TO ARRIVE

These lesson programs are staged out of Mt. Bachelor’s West Village base area. This is where you’ll want to park and start your day on the mountain.

When should you arrive? It depends on your circumstances.

If you need to rent equipment at the mountain:

Check-in at the ticket & sales center inside on the lower level of Mountain Gateway building. The rental process can take 1-hour, and potentially 90 minutes during busy weekends and holiday periods. For 10:00 a.m. lessons, plan to enter the building when it opens at 8:30 a.m. (8:00 a.m. on weekends and during holiday periods). For 1:00 p.m. lessons, plan to enter the building no later than 12:00 p.m. One of our friendly greeters will direct you where to go once you enter the building. Inside, we can facilitate your equipment rental and can sell you a lift ticket if needed.

Note that a legal parent/guardian signature is required on the equipment rental form if the participant is age 17 or under.

After you finish the rental process, one of our team members will direct you to the on-snow lesson meeting area. On-snow check-in is at 15 minutes prior to your lesson start time.

If you have your own equipment, but do not yet have a lift ticket/OnePass:

Visit any open ticket window on the exterior of Mountain Gateway building at West Village to purchase (or pick up a pre-purchased) lift ticket/OnePass. Plan to arrive in the vicinity of Mountain Gateway building at least 1 hour prior to your lesson start time.

After purchasing or picking up a lift ticket/OnePass, check-in at the on-snow lesson meeting area 15 minutes prior to your lesson start time.

Already have equipment AND a valid lift ticket or season pass:

Proceed directly to the on-snow lesson meeting area. On-snow check-in is 9:45 a.m. for the morning lesson and 12:45 p.m. for the afternoon lesson.

ON-SNOW LESSON MEETING AREA

Once you have your lift ticket or season pass and equipment (rental or own gear), please proceed to the West Village teaching area. This outdoor, on-snow lesson meeting location is on the mountain-side of West Village Lodge. Look for the two yurts and the covered carpet conveyor lift. On-snow check-in is 9:45 a.m. for the morning lesson and 12:45 p.m. for the afternoon lesson.
